Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal directed officials at the Anti-Narcotics Department to implement a preventive community project against drug use in school.

The program targets school children and parents who live in villages and hamlets.

The project will be implemented in the Al-Laith governorate, 180 km south of Jeddah, to raise awareness about the dangers of drug use.

Maj. Naser Yousif Al-Zahrani, director-general of preventive affairs at the Anti-Narcotics Department in Makkah, said the program will be implemented in five villages of the governorate: Al-Mijairmi, Ghamiqah, Tafeel, Bani Yazeed and Al-Sadiyah.
