Arab News bids farewell to Ebrahim Kodi

JEDDAH: The Arab News family yesterday bid farewell to Ebrahim Mohammed Kodi, who served as the Kingdom page editor since joining the publication in 1999.
Arab News Editor in Chief Abdulwahab Al-Faiz wished Kodi the very best for the future, along with more than 30 editors, journalists and members of the team.
“Ebrahim was a valued member of the Arab News team, and he will be missed,” said Al-Faiz. “We wish him the very best for the future.”
Business Editor Khalil Hanware, has worked with Kodi since he joined Arab News. “We in the newsroom will miss Ebrahim Kodi,” Hanware said. “He was a quiet man but an extraordinary deskman. His personality was reflected in good local pages that he dished out in Arab News everyday. He was consistently good, and would never let a mistake slip through. He was a great team worker. Arab News will miss him.”
During his farewell party at the newsroom, Kodi said: “Despite my attempts to feign a stoic indifference, I am bowing out with a heavy heart after 12 gratifying years at the institution. I will definitely miss the newsroom with its niceties, jokes, taunts and outbursts.”
