JEDDAH: An exhibition, “Al-Hazm Wa Al-Azm” (firmness and determination) of the Saudi soldiers and “Great men of the Kingdom” was inaugurated by Prince Abdullah bin Turki in the presence of UAE consul general Hazza Al-Mansouri at the Saudi Center for Fine Arts here on Sunday.

The 10-day exhibition is in support of the operation being led by Saudi Arabia against Houthi rebels in Yemen in order to restore the legitimate government of that country and protect the Kingdom’s interests, including its security.

The proceeds of the exhibition will go to the orphans and families of Saudi soldiers who have been martyred during the battle.

Prince Abdullah bin Turki said he was impressed with the works of the artists and hailed the the paintings as marvelous. “The artists have even shown the finest details of the features of the war and the great men of the Kingdom.”

He said the patriotism being shown through paintings and artworks should be in the heart of every citizen and resident, as every person is with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosque King Salman and the brave army of the Kingdom.

“Allah will ensure the safety and security of this holy land. The Kingdom will always support the Muslim Ummah and the coming days will be the best days for the Saudi Arabia and the whole Muslim world,” he said.

Hanadi Shamoor, one of the artists who has displayed her works, said that more than 34 paintings of past and present kings of Saudi Arabia, crown princes, deputy crown princes as well as of Prince Saud Al-Faisal with the Saudi flag, portrait of Saudi army, paintings of the war zone have been showcased.

She said the main message of the event is that the Saudi youth and people of Saudi Arabia are with the king and his wise decisions, and are praying for the victory, peace and security of the Kingdom.

Ali bin Saleh Al-Suwaidi, a prominent businessman, said Allah created Saudi Arabia to lead the Muslim Ummah toward unity and solidarity. “The Kingdom is proud of the young Saudi soldiers who showed firmness and determination on the southern borders.”
