Authorities are on the hunt for a man who stabbed a 31-year-old Kuwaiti woman to death last Wednesday in Kuwait City, then entered Saudi Arabia using his brother’s passport, local media reported.

Investigations revealed that the woman was sitting inside her car in the parking lot of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital when the man came up to talk to her. When she refused to speak with him, he broke the windshield of the car and stabbed her three times.

Security forces said that the man works at the Civil Aviation Department. Earlier, they detected a recorded phone call between the young man and the victim. Further investigation revealed that the man stalked the girl in the days leading up to the murder.

Kuwaiti security forces circulated the name of the killer in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar following his departure from his native country an hour-and-a-half after committing his crime.

The Kuwaiti Al-Watan newspaper said that Saudi Interpol directed a special squad to hunt down the killer on Saudi soil in the wake of information that he entered the Kingdom via the Al-Salmi border outlet.

The killer is already wanted in a bounced check case.
