All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) headed by Pervez Musharraf, who served as the tenth president of Pakistan from 2001 to 2008, launched its overseas wing by announcing the core committee for the Kingdom with its office in Riyadh.

The newly formed APML core committee for the Kingdom includes Asad A. Khan (president), Arbab Mohsin (senior vice president), Chaudhary Atif (general secretary), Raja Bassam (information secretary), Ahmad Qayamuddin (vice president) and Afaq Ahmed Khan (senior vice president).

“Syed Pervez Musharraf, APML chairman, has approved the names of the members of the core committee and chapter organizations for the Kingdom under the new constitution of the party unanimously approved and adopted recently by the members of the council present in the crucial meeting held in Islamabad,” Atif, the newly appointed general secretary, told Arab News here on Friday.

In a reply on what would be their agenda in the Kingdom, he said, “Our main objectives include working in close cooperation with the Pakistani community in the Kingdom to strive for complete peace in Pakistan, work for employment opportunities for the Pakistani youth, educational empowerment and preservation of their rights in every possible manner.”

He said that there are overseas wings of other Pakistani political parties working in the Kingdom, but APML has only now come into effect with the formal approval from the party head office.
