The organs of a 38-year-old Bangladeshi woman who was clinically pronounced dead were used to saved the lives of three Saudis and one Qatari citizen.

A team from the Saudi Center for Organ Transplantation had followed up on the woman’s case at King Khaled Hospital in Al-Kharj. They later met with her kin and obtained their consent to donate her organs.

The organ-harvesting operation was conducted in coordination with Dr. Iyad Al-Yousif, the attending physician at the center, and medical coordinator Abdullah Al-Kharji.

One kidney was given to a 44-year-old Saudi at a specialist hospital in Riyadh and the other to a 46-year-old Saudi at the Riyadh Military Hospital. The liver was given to a 47-year-old Saudi woman at the specialist hospital. The lungs were given to a 32-year-old Qatari national also at the same hospital, while the heart valves were taken to King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center for later use.
