RIYADH: National Guard Minister Prince Miteb bin Abdullah recently visited a soldier who is recovering from injuries sustained while performing his duty at the southern border.
First Lt. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Rithi is recuperating at the National Guard Hospital where Prince Miteb paid him a visit.
“I have come to visit you as a matter of duty and to personally express my gratitude to you for your patriotism,” Prince Miteb said.
He commended Al-Rithi’s dedication to duty and loyalty to the country, and expressed hope that his example will inspire other troops who are defending the Kingdom against intruders.
He noted that “if not for the bravery and martyrdom of Saudi troops, more illegal foreigners and intruders would have entered the Kingdom.”
Many illegals have tried to enter the Kingdom in the past but were foiled by Saudi troops.
“I salute you for your bravery, courage and loyalty to the country,” Prince Miteb told Al-Rithi.
“On behalf of the Saudi leadership, headed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, I thank you for your patriotism,” he said.
At the height of the threat posed to the Kingdom by terrorist groups, Prince Miteb visited troops at the borders such as Najran in the south and Rafha in the north, to boost their morale in defending the Kingdom from intruders.
He hailed the soldiers’ preparedness in responding to any threat to security and disruption of the peaceful life enjoyed by the Kingdom’s residents.
“The Kingdom will always be thankful to you for your bravery and heroism,” he said.
