JEDDAH: Prominent Alkhobar-based Saudi businessman Hamad bin Abdullah Al-Zamil died on Monday.

His funeral prayer will be held at King Fahd Mosque in Alkhobar on Tuesday.

Hamad Al-Zamil was chairman of the Al-Zamil group which was established in the early 1930s. The Zamil group of companies has huge interests and investments across the world. The company was established by Abdullah Al-Zamil (1897 -1961) with investment real estate. It expanded its area of business after his children took control of its management in early 1970s and turned it into an international business and investment group.
