Saudi Customs in the border post of Batha have foiled two smuggling attempts including a move to bring in 73.84 kg of hashish to the Kingdom, said Dhaifallah Al-Otaibi, director general of the department.

Al-Otaibi said it was hidden inside a fuel tanker secretly by its driver. “The second attempt was to take SR 477,000 outside the Kingdom,” he said. The cash was hidden in a plastic bag and had been kept in the vehicle’s box.

Al-Otaibi urged his officers to be always vigilant to prevent the entry of drugs and other prohibited items to the Kingdom.
