A Saudi man, aged around 125 and believed to be one of the oldest people in the world, died at home this week, leaving behind approximately 150 children, grandchildren and great grandchildren .

Ali Al-Harthi was buried in his home village near Taif on Saturday.

Most of the village’s residents attended the funeral.

Al-Harthi had been witness to the rules of all the Kingdom’s kings. Al-Harthi traveled on foot to Makkah to perform Haj 14 times.

According to the Guinness World Records, the world’s oldest living person is Japan’s Misao Okawa, who celebrated her 116th birthday on March, 2014. Unfortunately, Al-Harthi had no written birth certificate.
