JEDDAH: The Ministry of Civil Service has re-announced 228 carpentry and craftsmanship vacancies, after male and female citizens refused to take up these positions.
Around 100,000 Saudis had applied through the Jadarah recruitment program for 2,122 administrative posts, sources were quoted as saying by local media on Friday.
However, the applicants rejected 228 above-mentioned positions, leaving a number of vacancies to be re-announced on May 12.
The applicants also refused to take up engineering jobs in industrial management for graduates of the University of Petroleum and Minerals and other Grade 9 positions specific to doctorate degree holders.
The ministry invited 1,894 applicants for final verification. The results will be announced a week after the end of the verification period, which will come to a close on the 12th of Shaaban, the sources added.
