Agencies tracking down economic fraud at the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution will launch a probe into suspicious activities that cost shareholders of different companies huge losses over the past years.

They will also look into commercial cover up cases, money laundering, capital investment cases, data and trademark activities as well as counterfeiting and money laundering, among other kind of economic and real state deceptions.

The department in charge of following up on these economic crimes, which are the newest investigative committees at the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution, rely on qualified and experienced teams of investigators to carry out the inquiries and the research.

Sources close to the bureau estimate that the total size of the funds being monitored in these cases amount to more than SR 15 billion. Investigations will be conducted in coordination with the Monetary and Banks Foundation, the Ministry of Trade, and the Ministry of Interior.
