RIYADH: A married couple died in a traffic collision along the Sharourah-Al-Saleel highway while their three daughters and another passenger were severely injured in the crash, on Tuesday.

Security and rescue teams arrived at the site of the collision to transport the injured to Sharourah General Hospital for treatment and the bodies of the deceased to the hospital morgue.

According to the official spokesman of the Red Crescent in Najran, a vehicle with one driver collided head-on with the other vehicle carrying the married couple and their three daughters. The couple were killed immediately, while the three daughters and the driver of the other vehicle were severely injured.

In another accident in Al-Thumama on Tuesday, one man was killed and four other passengers were injured.

Five ambulatory teams and an air rescue helicopter were dispatched to the site to find one passenger had died and four others were suffering from severe injuries. All injured passengers were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
