RIYADH: An unidentified man shot and wounded a doctor at a leading government hospital in Riyadh on Wednesday evening.

The male doctor was on duty at King Fahd Medical City when the incident occurred. According to sources, the gunman appeared to be a Saudi man who shot the physician and then fled.

The victim was rushed to the emergency ward, where doctors removed a bullet from his lung. His condition is stable. The police are looking for the shooter and are trying to determine the motive for the attack.
