RIYADH: The Health Department in Riyadh has penalized two doctors and a nurse working at a government hospital for failing to comply with regulations dealing with coronavirus cases.

The decision to penalize the two doctors — a gastroenterologist and and an emergency room doctor — and the nurse came in response to proof that they were negligent in implementing specific instructions from the Center of Command and Control of Infectious Diseases at the Ministry of Health.

The department said in a statement that inspections of all government and private sector hospitals, and health clinics throughout Riyadh are ongoing to ensure all procedures are in line with specific regulations aimed at curbing the spread of infectious diseases.
