A high ranking Dutch agricultural delegation is currently in the Kingdom and has visited Al-Kharj in addition to holding a meeting with a number of local businessmen at the chamber of commerce and industry.

The meeting was also attended by Al-Kharj chamber’s secretary general, Mansour Al-Amaj and the chairman of the agricultural committee, Khalid Al-Sabbar. “During the meeting held few days back, the visiting delegation discussed various aspects of joint cooperation with local chamber officials and businessmen,” an official at the chamber said on Saturday.

They explored various opportunities in the agricultural sector, and discussed the exchange of experiences in modern agriculture in light of the economic and investment environment in the two countries, the official said. Moreover, livestock farming and poultry industry was also discussed with the local leaders representing the poultry producers in the private sector.

The delegation visited Riyadh and Al-Kharj aiming to further enhance the cooperation and exchanging the experiences between private sector companies in Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands.

Notably, approximately 30 Dutch companies operate in the Kingdom, and the trade between the two countries stands approximately at 6 billion Euros (about SR31 billion) with Saudi exports to the country reaching nearly SR 20 billion.
