The Philippine Embassy conducted its 29th Embassy on Wheels (EOW) consular outreach covering Jubail in Eastern Province this time, and conducted 456 consular transactions.

The nine-member team headed by Consul-General Marshall Louis Alferez on processed 385 passport applications, 10 passport extensions, 59 notaries and two birth registrations on Dec. 6 and 6. Besides, 42 passports were also released.

Alferez said that outreach missions offer an opportunity to meet and interact with the Filipino community across the Kingdom, including Jubail, which is not as frequently visited by the embassy as it does in the case of neighboring city of Alkhobar.

“We have found such visits to be useful since we meet compatriots in their cities of residence facilitating the embassy to get feedback on ground reality and the type of assistance they may require,” he said, and thanked the Filipino community for helping the team in its mission.

He also reminded the community that the embassy will have a 10-day passport service in Alkhobar for those who have not been able to obtain appointments this year.

The service will run from Dec. 8 to 12 and from Dec. 15 to 19 at the Gulf Center Building, and the timings will be 2 to 8 p.m.
