Prince Saud bin Naif, governor of the Eastern Province, opened the sixth Saudi International Exhibition for Oil and Gas on Monday.

He toured the exhibition booths and listened to a detailed explanation of all sections of the exhibition.

Major firms working in the local and foreign oil and gas sector are taking part in the show.

He expressed his admiration for the achievements and stressed that the oil and gas sector receives a great attention and support from the leadership.

He praised the roles played by national companies in innovation and training Saudi youth to be more involved in various fields and contribute to national development.

The governor also highlighted the active participation of foreign companies in various domestic sectors.

He also asserted the need to exploit potential resources to support and develop the sector and continuous improvement of its outputs.

Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Turki, chairman Dhahran International Exhibitions Company, said that the exhibition will showcase the latest products and the latest developments in the oil industry in all industrial fields.

The main challenges facing the sector in addition to many solutions that have contributed to raising the level of performance and improve services are also the focus of the event.

He said the exhibition looks to boost investments by attracting more capital for several projects in crucial national industrial sectors in the Eastern Province.”

“More than 200 companies from 25 countries specializing in oil and gas and operation sectors are taking part in the exhibition as a part of our efforts to develop the oil industry and attract a large number of foreign economic and trade supplements from the embassies of foreign countries in the Kingdom,” he said.

The exhibition is also an important communication point for companies, distributors and suppliers in the oil sector as more than 10, 000 visitors are expected the trade show.
