DAMMAM: Insurance companies in the Eastern Province offer elaborate cover for work injuries, death, accidents as well as damage to property, all of which ensure a secure future for the insured person and his/her family.
According to a source associated with insurance firms, each limb or eye can be insured for SR150,000 at a premium that is nothing compared to the insurance.
“Compensation for death during work can reach up to SR300,000 according to new contracts for insurance policies,” the source was quoted as saying by local media on Monday.
The insurance companies bear the costs for the payment of human and material damage for accidents, as well as compensation for properties.
Additionally, insurance companies also bear responsibility for paying damages to neighboring facilities according to the “policy toward neighbors.” It compensates parties in the private properties and/or workers in addition to treatment costs and other components, said the source.
The insurance companies bear the responsibility of cover exports, and goods that may get damaged inside a facility due to an accident or fire. The cost of transport from the facility to and from a temporary location or alternative warehouse is also covered.
The compensation related to fire accidents in factories or companies is divided into six parts, including material damage covered by the insurance policy, private property in the company or establishment, equipment, raw material and manufactured products.
The source said that workers who are not insured must be compensated by the companies they work for, either for full treatment and/or blood money.
