AL-AHSA: A young European tourist fell to his death at the Al-Qara mountain in Al-Ahsa governorate of Eastern Province (EP) on Friday. The 24-year-old youth, whose identity could not be ascertained, was with his family when tragedy struck.
Col. Mansour Al-Dossari, spokesman of Civil Defense (EP), said a team rushed to the mountain soon after receiving information about a man falling from the mountain.
“The Civil Defense rescue squad found the youth, but he was already dead.”
The young man slipped and fell into a cave from a height, said Al-Dossari.
The Al-Qara mountain or Jabal Al-Qarah has rock formations and caves one can enter. These limestone rock formations look like the moon.
