An exhibition entitled “Sports brings us closer” was launched at the Jeddah Events and Exhibition Center on Tuesday to promote domestic and regional sports.

Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahad bin Abdulaziz, general president of the Youth Welfare Association, and Ahmed Eid, president of the Saudi Ittihad club, were at the event.

The weeklong exhibition was organized by the youth welfare association in collaboration with the Saudi Football Association and International Forum for Exhibitions, to showcase Saudi and Asian sports.

Several top officials, diplomats, heads of clubs, players, governors, sports analysts, businessmen and leaders of the youth welfare association and the sports federations attended the event.

Prince Nawaf met the dignitaries and toured the exhibition.

“The exhibition is an effort to bridge the gap between stakeholders, club sports and interested businessmen to identify good projects and the latest ways to promote players,” he said.

Nasir Al-Kashiri, chairman of the exhibition's organizing committee, thanked the sponsors, the Ministry of Education, sports clubs, Saudi football clubs, sportspersons, and the media for their support.

The exhibition offers visitors a wide variety of sports-related information including a photo gallery, library, lectures, seminars, one-on-one meetings with players and club authorities, investment opportunities, school sports, nutrition for athletes, and developments in sports media.
