The health expo being held at the King Khalid Islamic Education Center by the King Khalid Foundation (KKF), entitled "Sehati Hayati (My Health is My Life)", is offering free medical checkups for visitors and participants.

"These checkups are offered by exhibitors at their stalls for all visitors, whether Saudis or non-Saudis. They include the measurement of blood pressure, sugar levels, eye tests, vital body fitness tests, and blood donation checkups. They are conducted in morning for male school students and in the evening for females," the manager of the exhibition, Mohammed Saad Al-Ahmari, said.

"The objective of the exhibition is to fulfill the social responsibility of KKF toward the youth through health awareness. Often, the youth tend to forget about the importance of looking after their health due to their businesses, so we wanted to draw their attention to the essentials of good health maintenance," he said.

Additionally, the Riyadh Region Health Directorate provided a blood bank mobile unit at the exhibition to collect blood donations from visitors, especially young persons, following a blood donation fitness test to ensure their suitability for donation.

The King Khaled Islamic Education Center offered books, booklets and pamphlets on health and Islam, and displayed signs highlighting Islam's advice on health promotion and care.

The Saudi Anti-smoking Society (Naga "Purity") offered awareness sessions on the danger of smoking cigarettes and tips for quitting. In addition to the blood donation collection mobile unit, the Riyadh Region Health Directorate offered information on MERS-CoV and obesity, in addition to sugar and blood pressure testing services. The College of Physical Education at King Saud University offered body effort and physical fitness tests, followed by individual reports on the subject’s personal fitness status for all interested guests.

The exhibition, organized by KKF in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the General Presidency of the Youth Welfare, is located at the premises of the King Khaled Grand Mosque on Umm Al-Hamam Street, and will remain open until Saturday.

So far, around 4,000 people have visited the exhibition.
