The Pakistan Journalists Forum hosted a farewell dinner for its Executive Committee member Zafar Iqbal who is going to Pakistan for good.

Zafar Iqbal has been associated with Urdu News since the launch of the newspaper. He was the sports editor of the newspaper.

He is well known in sports circles in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. Before joining Urdu News he worked with the prominent media groups of Pakistan, Nawa-e-Waqt and Jang.

Zafar Iqbal in his farewell speech said he was proud to have worked as an active member of Pakistan Journalists Forum — an organization of journalists working to promote Saudi-Pak relations.

He thanked the Urdu News management for giving him the oppurtunity to work with the premier Urdu newspaper.

Press consul at the Consulate general of Pakistan, Suhail Ali Khan, PJF Chairman Amir M. Khan, Shahid Nayeem, Jamil Rahtore and Shehzad Azam also spoken on the occasion.
