A Saudi father who works as a school guard has forced his children to beg and tortured them for disobeying him, relatives told Arab News.

The father divorced the children’s mother three years ago after subjecting her to domestic violence and then took away the kids denying her the right to see them.

He even forced his son, who studies at the intermediate level, to wear women’s clothes and beg on the streets, they said.

The father was particularly resentful of his eldest daughter, owing to her strong objection to his forcing the children to beg.

Part of the money got from begging was used to buy toys for the children as an incentive to keep them begging, relatives said.

The mother filed a case with the police, who referred it to the Social Protection Center (SPC) which in turn contacted the father who denied the case.

She has appealed to the Human Rights Commission to protect her children and allow her to take custody of them.

Since there has been no response from them. The mother has also appealed to the concerned authorities to rehabilitate her kids.
