RIYADH: The father of the Saudis who were allegedly assaulted by Turkish authorities at Istanbul airport intends to take legal action against the officials.

Abdullah Al-Monaiser said the brutal encounter resulted in a broken nose and various bruises on the Saudi boys. The assault ended with the family being led away in handcuffs and placed in detention for a day-and-a-half.

Al-Monaiser had to travel to Istanbul for the release of his family, where they were treated as “criminals, not tourists.”

He insists that this was a hate crime.

Al-Monaiser plans on prosecuting every individual responsible for the heinous act. He expressed gratitude to the Saudi ambassador and the embassy staff for their assistance in the ordeal.
