Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and Filipino students in the Saudi capital have expressed interest in visiting the Kingdom’s popular tourist spots and heritage sites during the upcoming holiday season.

Cecilia Largodisimo and her family told Arab News that they are planning to visit Jubail during Haj.

“This Haj, my family and I will go to Jubail to visit friends and go fishing,” Largodisimo said. “We also plan to camp out and grill our catch, as well as enjoy the scenery.”

Several Filipino students have said that they plan to visit the Kingdom's heritage sites this season.

“I will visit some of the heritage sites in Saudi Arabia for sight-seeing purposes in order to learn about the Kingdom’s past,” one student said. “We have a two-week vacation, so we will have ample time to discover the Kingdom's tourist spots.”

Other OFWs said that they will visit popular spots in Riyadh, including the newly inaugurated King Abdullah Malaz Park (KAMP). “We heard about KAMP and its grand opening last week,” said one Filipino educator.

Racquel Gangano, another OFW, said that she will go to Bahrain with her family for a reunion with their daughter and relatives. “We used to live in Bahrain until my husband was assigned here in Riyadh. We will revisit our old home and spend quality time with our only daughter and some of our relatives and friends,” she said.
