The Saudi Ambassador to Australia and New Zealand Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Saleh said the presence of Saudi Arabia at the G-20 bolsters the “international, pioneering and economic” position enjoyed by the Kingdom in the world. The Saudi delegation is being led by Crown Prince Salman on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah.

In a statement to Saudi media, Al-Saleh said that the visit will give a strong impetus to Saudi relations with Australia, highlighting that the Kingdom is the second largest trading partner of Australia in the Middle East, saying the trade between the two countries was over 2 billion Australian dollars last year.

The G-20 summit will be held in the Australian city of Brisbane on Nov. 15-16. Crown Prince Salman, who arrived in Singapore Tuesday on a private visit, will stop over in the island country in Southeast Asia before he finally leaves for Brisbane.
