A number of GCC and Arab leaders were given reassurances about the health of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, who is recuperating at King Abdul Aziz National Guard Medical City in Riyadh.

Among the leaders, Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah of Kuwait and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani have inquired about his health.

Crown Prince Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, received a telephone call from the Kuwaiti emir on Monday, who asked after the king’s health. Sheikh Sabah prayed for the good health of King Abdullah.

King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain sent his son Prince Khaled to Riyadh to inquire about the King Abdullah’s health where he met with National Guard Minister Prince Miteb bin Abdullah and other sons of the king.

Bahrain’s Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa prayed for the quick recovery of King Abdullah while presiding over the country’s Cabinet meeting on Monday. He also wished the king good health.

Prince Khalifa commended King Abdullah’s leading role in the Arab and Islamic world and his contributions to strengthen Arab unity. Former Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri visited the Riyadh hospital and a number of Saudi princes, officials and citizens also visited the hospital on Monday.
