YANBU: Norah, a two-year-old girl, remains in serious condition in the intensive care unit of Yanbu General Hospital, a week after she was pulled out of in a swimming pool at a resort, said a news website.

Ali Al-Shehri, father of the girl, said that without the knowledge of those who were present at the resort, the child made it to the swimming pool and fell. A person who was present there rushed to rescue her and took her to the hospital.

Medical attendants at the hospital said her nervous system was not responding despite movement in one of her feet.

The father expressed his concern due the deteriorating condition of the child. He appealed to officials to look into the case and “transfer her to a hospital with better facilities.”
