JAZAN: The Jazan Health Directorate is forming a committee to investigate a complaint made by the family of a child who died in a city hospital.

The girl is reported to have been admitted for anaemia, but became increasingly weak following the intravenous treatment she received at the hospital, according to a spokesman for the Jazan Health Directorate.

The parents of the 12-year-old said that after it became clear that her condition had deteriorated, she was transferred to King Fahd Central Hospital, where she died.

The family of the girl have formally filed complaints against the chief of the Health Directorate in Jazan and all the doctors who examined the girl before she died.
