JEDDAH: Google celebrated Saudi Arabia’s National Day on Friday by posting a doodle on its homepage to commemorate the occasion.

Twitter has also celebrated the national occasion by changing its homepage into green. Users of the social networking site shared videos and photos, including classic photos of late Saudi kings, to celebrate the National Day.

The UAE also shared National Day celebrations with Saudis. Dubai’s Burj Khalifa was fully illuminated in green — a contribution from Emaar Properties to celebrate the Saudi occasion.

In addition, Cayan Real Estate Investment and Development said it would celebrate the Saudi National Day by illuminating Dubai’s Cayan Tower in green for three days.
