RIYADH: The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is currently studying ways to cap the recruitment of domestic labor to 2,000 for every recruitment office and company, yearly. A source said this is to be done through electronic authorizations in these licensed offices and companies through the ‘Injaz’ website.
The move has been suggested as a way to combat the growing black market of domestic labor in the Kingdom, where one of the offices was said to have imported 20,000 workers in just four months through electronic authorizations.
The Ministries of Labour and Foreign Affairs are seeking to end this phenomenon by limiting the number of electronic authorizations for every recruitment office.
