JEDDAH: A delegation from Guinea Conakry Consulate visited Jeddah Chamber of Commerce (JCCI) and called on Saudi businessmen to come forward and invest in its agricultural and food sector, on Thursday.
Mohamed Lamine Condé, consul general of Guinea announced at JCCI about the success of Guinea in controlling Ebola disease that has spread in recent years in a number of central African states, and called Saudi investors to establish agricultural and food investments in his country that will benefit the two countries and contribute in strengthening the bonds of trade and joint cooperation.
Condé had meeting with Eng. Muhyiddin bin Yahya Hakami, deputy secretary general at JCCI and a number of executive members of JCCI and discussed ways of boosting trade relations and investments between the two countries, reviewed the investment opportunities for Saudi businessmen in a number of areas, especially the agricultural sector.
He revealed the opening of a special section of the investment opportunities within the Consulate of Guinea in Jeddah, where Saudi Arabia can be the main gateway for investment in the Middle East.
“We hope that JCCI will be a channel of communication with business owners and help in avail the opportunities that are existing in our country, whether in agriculture or tourism, industrial or terms of food security,” he said.
Eng. Hakami said JCCI will do everything to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is also keen in to increase cooperation with African countries, especially since the Kingdom is keen to support its relations with Islamic countries, which are an important market for Saudi products.
He also said that JCCI views opportunities to learn more on the aspects that can build effective partnerships between the two countries, especially in agricultural and food investments.
He said that the two countries have strong relations, are members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and are working for the promotion of mutual cooperation between the two countries.
