The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Haia) disclosed recently that as many as 21,000 of its members across the Kingdom have undergone various trainings as part of their mission to better serve the public.

This came during the launch of the new online Electronic Horizon Training for its members, by Haia Director General for Administrative Development, Khaled Hagbani. According to the director general, the members were trained in skills including criminal investigation, extortion, liquor and security intellectual skills courses, besides dealing with pilgrims and other matters. He pointed out that these programs reflected positively on the performance of the field workforce.

The online program was officially inaugurated by Haia President Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh. In his speech Al-Sheikh said that the online training (Afaq) is a special training program which has been adopted for its flexibility and easy application to courses. It can also form part of training packages and follow up on employees’ training record.

He pointed out that the presidency is keen to improve the performance of their employees and raise their level of knowledge in both legal matters and administration in the field through continuous training during the qualifying period.

Hagbani stressed that Haia has now embarked on various types of projects in response to the needs of the situation under the leadership of Al-Sheikh.

“The Haia officials are marching in step with new developments, through an institutional and integrated performance as part of development plans based on collective policies,” he said.
