RIYADH: The chief of the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Haia), Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Sanad, signed a SR35 million deal recently to construct nine buildings and various centers for Islamic organizations across the Kingdom.

The deal, to be implemented by local construction companies, includes new Haia buildings in the south of Badr province, Yadma province, and in Fahd, in addition to the construction of a new main building in Sharourah governorate.

Al-Sanad also inked a new contract for the construction of Haia buildings in Hawtat Bani Tamim, Dawadmi, Majmaah, and Abu Bakr in Zulfi, at a total cost of SR35,128,756.

According to the official, the implementation of these projects reflects the generous support from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif, minister of interior, and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

This will create a suitable environment for the Haia’s members in the presidency to carry out their work in ways that will please the Almighty Allah, achieve the aspirations of the king and which will keep up with the urban and economic renaissance taking place in Saudi Arabia.

In another related news, the Haia also recently launched its new website, which features many new, modern services.

It enables staff to receive reports on vice, and to communicate directly with high-ranking Haia staff.
