RIYADH: Hayel Abdulhafez Dawud, Jordanian minister of awqaf and Islamic affairs, applauded the efforts made by the Saudi government to implement development projects at the two holy cities to provide a hassle-free Haj and Umrah for pilgrims.
The minister described these projects as the largest and most prominent throughout the history.
Dawud said his meetings with the Saudi authorities discussed the necessary arrangements for the service of Jordanian pilgrims performing Haj this year.
Abbas Qattan, top official from the National Tawafa Establishment for Pilgrims of Arabian Countries, said the meeting discussed a number of issues, including pilgrims’ housing arrangements in Makkah and other holy sites, transport services and food, in addition to the importance of abiding by the electronic path.
He said the meetings would boost and enhance the friendly relations between the two countries, and the cooperation regarding the safety and comfort to the guests of God.
