A group of 15 Harvard University students visited Effat University recently, in a move aimed at enhancing cultural ties between students of both institutes.

The group discussed a number of topics with Effat officials and students from various departments.

Haifa Jamal Allail, president of Effat University, said the visit came as part of an ongoing dialogue between educators at Harvard University and various educational establishments in the Kingdom in an attempt to enhance collaboration.

Haifa Jamal Allail welcomed the Harvard delegations. “We are proud of our network of international partnerships,” she said. “Our mission is to actively engage in academic interaction and cooperation with all four corners of the globe.”

Elsa Jakson, a Harvard MBA student, said the main purpose of their visit was to discover the Saudi culture and exchange perspectives on different

issues.

“We are impressed by the level of development in Saudi Arabia, especially in the field of education. We are particularly keen on the strides taken by Effat University for the future of Saudi females,” she said.

Alex Gavin, another MBA student, said he enjoyed engaging in conversations with fellow Saudi students on various topics of interest.
