It is a moment of national as well as personal pride and honour for me to celebrate “Al-Yaum Al-Watani” of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This is a historic day for the people, government and members of the Royal family of the Kingdom. We, the people of Pakistan living inside as well as outside of the Kingdom, join our Saudi brothers and sisters in these celebrations and festivities. On this occasion, we would like to convey our heartiest felicitations to them.

“Al-Yaum Al-Watani” is a day of reflection about the achievements of the Kingdom. The level of socio-economic development of the Kingdom is remarkable and commendable. Other countries must emulate this model of development which is based on the welfare of the nationals of the Kingdom as well as expatriates living in the Kingdom. We share the aspirations of the people of Saudi Arabia and the vision of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, which has enabled and guided the policy makers of the Kingdom to achieve this objective.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy very close fraternal ties which are cherished by every Pakistani and Saudi. On the eve of “Al-Yaum Al-Watani,” we reiterate our commitment to further strengthen these ties.
