The media consultant at Imam Mohammad ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) denied in a statement yesterday that the University’s rector has his own accounts in Twitter and Facebook.

The General Supervisor at the Imam University’s Administration Abdulrahman Al-Nami made the announcement following some twits by someone using the name of Rector Suleiman Aba Al-Khail's name.

He said Abal-Khail has never used social networking account, pointing out that the user of the Twitter account claiming to be in the name of the rector is an impersonator and any message originating from that account is baseless.

He has called on the media to check and investigate before publishing any news related to Aba Al-Khail. The media adviser said the legal department of the university has started proceedings to stop the fake account.
