A three-year-old Indian boy was killed by a speeding car as he and his mother were boarding a vehicle.

Abdul Rahman Mohammed was pronounced dead on the spot. The driver who ran the boy over was a Syrian national.

The family, from the south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, works in Yanbu.

Abdul Rahman’s body is being kept at a morgue at the Royal Commission Hospital in the city.

The family is working to complete legal procedure and wish to bury their son in Yanbu.
