Indian embassy will host a business to business (B2B) interactive session of Saudi and Indian businessmen on infrastructure under the aegis of Saudi India Business Network (SIBN) at the embassy premises in Riyadh on Nov.

Surinder Bhagat, second secretary (Political, Information and Commerce) of the Embassy of India told Arab News, “It is part of a series of sector specific events being organized by SIBN.”

“From the Indian side the participants include representatives of 40 major companies visiting Saudi Arabia to attend the ‘Saudi Build 2013’ — the 25th International Construction Technology and Building Materials Exhibition to be held at Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center from Nov. 4-7, 2013,” he added.

“The event will be a unique opportunity to meet representatives of major Indian companies including All India Granites and Stone Association (AIGSA) and explore the possibility of developing B2B tie-ups,” Bhagat stated.

Spelling out the details he said that an Indian business delegation under Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) is participating in the Saudi Build, which is now in its silver jubilee year.

Apart from CII and AIGSA, some of the participating companies include — Apple Granites, Classic Marbles (Hayat Group), Calvina Exports, Delton Ceramic and Kamil Bhai Ismail Ji India.

These Indian companies export a variety of high quality construction and building materials such as granites, marbles, ceramic tiles, natural stone, Fibre Cement Board, walls, flooring, cladding, doors, roofing and pre-engineered steel buildings.

Bhagat further said that the interested Saudi and Indian companies and businessmen can attend the event or send representative and meet the executives of the Indian companies at the embassy to explore the possibility of developing B2B tie-ups.

Saudi India Business Network, as the name implies, is a professional organization that groups together entrepreneurs, senior executives and professionals from Saudi Arabia and India to boost bilateral trade and commerce.
