The Khak-e-Taiba Trust (KTT) organized a seminar for local and international pilgrims to provide orientation about Haj and its historical importance.

The chief guest was Tariq Mishkhas, editor in chief of Urdu News. Other speakers in attendance were Maulana Omar Nadwi, the head of the Jamia Sulaimania Mosque, Abass Ali Kahoot, senior speaker at the Jeddah Islamic Center and Waseem Rizwai from Australia.

Siraj Ali Khan kick-started the program with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, and a devotional song, known as a “nasheed,” was sung by Syed Mohiuddin Qadri.

Mishkhas congratulated the KTT president and its members for helping to educate young people in Saudi Arabia.

Maulana Omar Nadwi explained the historical importance of Haj, its rewards and the significance of the day of Arafat.

“Haj is a life-changing experience, so make sure you perform the pilgrimage with all your heart and soul,” he said.

Abass Ali Kahoot, the second speaker, emphasized issues regarding Haj. He explained that pilgrims must perform ablutions before embarking on the pilgrimage.

At the end of the program, Shameem Kausar, the patron and overseas trustee of the KTT, presented a bouquet to the chief guest, while Syed Rafat Shah, senior treasurer of the KTT, gave away a plaque of appreciation.

Aijaz Ahmed Khan, president and trustee of the KTT, presented a bouquet to first speaker Maulana Omar Nadwi.

Vice President Mohammed Abbas Khan presented a bouquet to second speaker Abass Ali Kahoot and a plaque was delivered by KTT youth wing member Azmat Ali Emran.

The program was jointly conducted by Syed Khaja Viqaruddin, general secretary and trustee, and social activist Aleem Khan Falki.
