The annual career exhibiton at the International Indian School-Riyadh (IISR) on Saturday attracted a large number of students, parents and teachers for career counseling as also for exploring academic options for higher studies after completing the school education.

The second career expo at IISR was started last year as one-of-its-kind program for expatriate students.

IISR Principal S.M. Shaukat Perwaiz said: “The expo is aimed at bringing awareness among the students and parents regarding the importance of career counseling and opportunities available after Grade 12.”

IISR also arranged special lectures by experts who threw light on how to choose a career, prepare for entrance examinations, manage future career and select the most sought-after professions available for them in India and abroad.

IISR counselor, Farah Tazeen, gave a presentation on stress management. The expo was attended, among others, by Hyder Ali, chairman, IISR managing committee, and its members, Dilshad Ahmad, Niaz Omer, Roji Mathew, Shafi Sattar, Mohammad Naseeruddin and Ibrahim Rahmatullah.

Tauheed Ahmad Siddiquee, IISR vice principal, encouraged students to prepare themselves well for the fast approaching board exams and advised them to make the best use of the career expo.

Mohammed Fayaz Ali, chief coordinator of the expo, delivered the vote of thanks.
