Citizens will soon be able to receive and renew passports, national IDs, licenses and car-related forms under one roof thanks to integrated centers being established in major cities and provinces across the country.

The centers will be set up by the Interior Ministry in the near future, according to a source at the General Directorate of Passports.

Each center will contain an employee from the Traffic Department, one from the Passport Department and one from the Civil Affairs.

The centers will also have Abshir machines for passport services, which will be made available for senior citizens who find it difficult to use the online service.

Several meetings have been held between departments on this pending project, said the source.

The free online Abshir e-service has significantly reduced bureaucracy and made administrative tasks hassle-free, reducing crowding at offices amid aims to make government offices completely visitor-free.
