The Japanese Embassy in Riyadh participated in the Al-Khoazama fashion art and design exhibition 2014, which concluded on July 2, 2014.

The three-day exhibition was organized by the Al-Khoazama banqueting and conference center in partnership with the Saudi Commission of Tourism and Antiquities under the theme “Your Talent … Your Career” as an art and fashion event with the aim of bring together young talent under one roof.

An official in the educational and cultural section of the Japanese Embassy told Arab News on Saturday that the kimono, the Japanese traditional dress, was exhibited in a booth and visitors were able to try it on for the very first time.

He added that the visitors also experienced the Japanese traditional culture such as the origami, the hand craft papers and enjoyed the Ramadan nights at the expo.

He said that the exhibition was attended by Glowork, SANAD, children’s cancer support association and Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University, along other companies and organizations dedicated to fashion, accessories, photographs, painting and interior design.

He also said that the Japanese embassy was the only diplomatic mission in Riyadh to participate in the event this year.

“However, the organizer of this exhibition wishes to encourage other embassies to introduce their unique fashion and art next year,” he added.

The event was open to art and fashion entrepreneurs and over 100 young talents displayed their work.

It also witnessed the launch of the third ‘Bandar Al-Jibreen Achievement Award’ for creativity in art and design.
