Jazan police had captured more than 8,000 labor law violators by Tuesday evening during its security campaign throughout the region.

Brig. Awad Al-Qahtani, spokesman of the Jazan police department, said that on Monday 3,291 persons of Yemeni nationality and 49 persons of African origin were found to be illegally residing in the Kingdom.

In addition, 67 expats of different nationalities were found to be in violation of residency and labor laws and 25 vehicles driven by Saudi drivers were seized for boarding 200 Yemeni persons residing illegally in the Kingdom.

Al-Qahtani said the raids were conducted under the leadership of Brig. Ahamd Al-Askari, director of administrative control, and Maj. Ahmad Qahel, commander of the field force, under the supervision and follow-up of the director of Jazan Police, Maj. Gen. Abdullah bin Abdulmajeed Al-Mushaikhi.

“The most important mission of field force members is to prevent crime before it happens, to arrest criminals when a crime takes place and safeguard peace and security,” said Al-Mushaikhi.
