JEDDAH: The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) launched an Islamic contest during Ramadan for the fourth year in a row during the final days of Ramadan.

The contest involves 20 questions over 20 days, with each question to be released daily at noon on the JCCI Facebook page. Participants will have until 8 p.m. to answer the question every day

Faisal Awad Abdul Qadir, director of the Social Responsibility Center at the JCCI, said the aim of holding such competitions is to promote moral values among the new generation.

These values, he said, will help enhance the culture of a strong work ethic that positively affects the business community.

The team is working to spread these positive moral values within the business community and civil society through a variety of means and mechanisms that take place during the month of Ramadan.

He said the JCCI wishes to achieve social partnership with all individuals, sectors and civil society organizations to promote positive values.

He also emphasised that the deadline for submitting answers to any given question is at 8 p.m. daily, and added that the participant should either be of Saudi nationality or must have resident status in the Kingdom.

The participant must choose the correct answer from the given list and send it with their full name, Iqama number, mobile number, name of their home city and e-mail to the link found at http://www.jcci.org.sa.

A cash amount of SR1,000 is given to one winner every day.

In related news, the JCCI’s Social Responsibility Center signed an MoU with King Abdulaziz University’s Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz on moral values in order to strengthen and activate such values in the business sector and the community through a variety of mechanisms.

These mechanisms include the establishment and exchange of workshops, seminars, conferences and the preparation of joint studies about values and ethics.
