The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) has launched websites and logos for each of its 68 committees under the supervision of the president of its board of directors, Saleh Kamil.

Assistant Secretary-General of JCCI Mohiuddin Yahya Hakami said that the logo design, specific to each committee, will contribute to facilitate their task, work in a dynamic environment and help in the removal of obstacles faced by the business sector.

He said that each committee officially represents one task and will not deal with any other work.

The information and technology sector working on the task of setting up a website for each committee will be directly linked to the JCCI portal. There will be reviews, recommendations and studies which will allow workers in each sector to follow the work of the committee and help in its activities in the business sector.

“At the moment, the committees are providing almost 25 services including training programs, workshops, attending delegates’ meetings, among others, to help the employees of the business sector,” Hakami said.

He stressed that there is an electronic service package that will benefit the business sector and small and medium enterprises in the months ahead.

He said that a fashion designers committee was formed in the month of Ramadan with Umima Azoz as president and the official representative of the committee’s activities.

Outlining the mechanisms of the workings of the committees, Hakami said that the head of a working group can have up to two working assistants and a committee should not have more than 16 members.
