The Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) will organize a human resources forum between Nov. 25 and 29 to discuss the changed employment scenario in the Kingdom following the exit of illegal workers.

The forum will take place in the presence of Labor Minister Adel Fakeih and the Ministry of Labor will collaborate in organizing the event.

Sameer Hussein, chairman of the seminar’s organizing committee, said the seminar will discuss the new environment in the job market and how it will help boost the economy. A workshop will also be organized on the sidelines of the event.

The seminar seeks to grasp the latest trends in the human resources administration in the Kingdom and how it can support the implementation of human resource practices in the fast-growing labor market.

Forum chief Eihab Abu Rakbah said that numerous experts will read papers and participate in discussions in the forum and its accompanying workshop.

Business leaders, board chairmen, CEOs and establishment directors in various sectors in the Kingdom and abroad routinely participated in past forums, which were attended by several prominent businessmen, business executives and human resource directors, students of universities and institutes and employment firms.

The exit of illegal workers is likely to open up new employment opportunities for Saudi youth, especially in the private sector. The disappearance of business cover-up practices will also offer thousands of employment opportunities, besides plugging the illegal drain on the national economy.
