JUBAIL: A total of 1,400 graduates from colleges and institutes of the Royal Commission for Jubail (RCJ) were honored at the King Abdullah Cultural Center in the Jubail Industrial City on Tuesday.

The ceremony, held under the auspices of Eastern Province Gov. Prince Saud bin Naif, was attended by Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan, chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY).

Ali Assiri, general manager of the colleges and institutes sector at the RCJ, said: “The governor’s attendance reflects the great attention given by our government and wise leadership to education and development,” confirming that the success achieved by the sector is a result of the unlimited support of the RCJY’s chairman and the great efforts made by the RCJ staff.

Assiri said: “Today, we are celebrating the graduation of 1,400 students from the RCJ colleges and institutes, along with achieving high levels in the area of employment for the graduates, where the employment rate amounted to more than 90 percent last year.” He also congratulated the graduates, wishing them success in their lives.

He said that the Saudi leadership spares no effort in preserving the security of the homeland and its gains and capabilities under the command of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Student Hassan Al-Ahmari delivered a speech in which he said: “Today, we are carrying the weapon of science, thought and technology just as our brave soldiers are staying up with their weapons to protect the Kingdom and its borders.”

Ahmed Al-Omari, among the graduate students, expressed his joy saying special concern has been given to students and to educational services in Jubail Industrial City’s colleges and institutes where development, facilities and quality of education are placed among most important aims.

The Royal Commission developed a strategy based on investing the maximum efforts of instructors and learners using e-educational methods in a creative thinking environment to meet the commission’s aspired high quality and attractive educational environment in its colleges and institutes.

The event included a documentary about the colleges and institutes sector in Jubail. At the end of the ceremony, the EP governor honored first-rank achievers.
